Tooth Extracting forceps are used to extract tooth designed for use in specific areas of the mouth.
The beak is shaped to confirm snugly to the contour of the tooth. This makes it easier to reach different teeth effectively.

The proper forceps is then chosen for the tooth to be extracted and the forceps is then seated onto the tooth so that the tips of the forceps beaks grasp the root underneath the loosened soft tissue. The lingual beak is usually seated first and then the buccal beak.
