Dentsply Caulk Tray Adhesive Caulk Universal Tray Adhesive is Suitable for all vinyl polysiloxane impression materials. Caulk Tray Adhesive is used to enhance the adhesion of vinyl polysiloxane impression materials (e.g. Aquasil, Aquasil Ultra, Reprosil material, Hydrosil material) to rigid stock metal (e.g. Rim-Lock tray) or plastic (solid or perforated), custom acrylic and double-arch (e.g., First Bite tray) type impression trays. Separation of set impression material from the impression tray upon removal from the mouth may introduce distortion errors. The use of the adhesive helps assure that the completed impression remains firmly attached to the tray upon removal from the mouth.

INDICATIONS

Caulk Tray Adhesive is indicated for application to impression trays to enhance the adhesion of all types of vinyl polysiloxane impression materials to intraoral impression trays including perforated and non-perforated stock metal and plastic, custom acrylic, and mesh-type double arch trays.

• Violet Colorant

• 1 x 14ml Bottle of Tray Adhesive 

• Select and/or prepare a suitable tray. Prior to the application of Caulk Tray Adhesive, a trial fit tray for proper fit and extension.
• After the proper fit is assured, rinse and thoroughly dry the tray.
• Brush a thin layer of Caulk Tray Adhesive onto the tray surfaces that will be covered with impression material and allow to air dry for at least five minutes, but no more than 30 minutes. Repeat application if greater than 30 minutes have elapsed.
• Technique Tip: Avoid the placement of excess adhesive onto tray surfaces. Retention will NOT be enhanced and may be compromised by the placement of a thicker layer of tray adhesive onto tray surfaces.
• Mix and place desired tray viscosity impression material directly into coated impression tray as per the selected impression material directions.
