Pd Chlorobutanol

Chlorobutanol is a preparation which combines the analgesic and sedative effects of chlorobutanol with the antiseptic action of the other components among which the Methyl Salicylate for its anti-inflammatory activity.

It is used for pulp sedative after dentinal treatment of superficial or deep 2nd degree caries. It is also used for the relief of pain after root extraction.

Indications

• Pulpal sedative (in cases of pulpitis)
• Relief of pain after root extraction

Key Specification:-

Composition :

• Chlorobutanol hemihydrate 30%,
• Eugenol 57.5%,
• Oil of Cinnammon 10%,
• Methyl Salicylate 2.5%

Storage :

• Store at room temperature between 5° and 30° C, protected from direct light
• The solution may cristalize if the bottle is stored in a cool place. The crystals will dissolve once room temperature is restored.

Packaging:-

• 1 x 30 ml Bottle

Direction to use:-

• As a sedative: dip a cotton pellet into “PD” Chlorbutanol and apply directly to the wound.
• As a dressing: dress the wound with a strip of gauze dipped in  “PD” Chlorbutanol applied directly to the site, avoid exerting any pressure.
• Remove the dressing once the pain has significantly decreased or totally disappeared.
