Penta Ortho Intraoral Elastics – Heavy (Pack of 1000)

Intra Oral Elastics are rubber bands frequently used in the field of orthodontics to correct different types of malocclusions. The longevity of the elastic wear may vary from two weeks to several months. The elastic wear can be worn from 12 to 23 hours a day, either during the night or throughout the day depending on the requirements for each malocclusion.

Elastic wear is recommend to be used in a rectangular wire to minimize side effects. Elastic wear depends on the compliance of the patient.

Penta Ortho Intra Oral Elastics are manufactured from the finest surgical grade natural latex rubber to ensure reliable force delivery.Intraoral elastics are used to produce forces for correcting different type of malocclusion.

Heavy Force – 6 Oz (130gm)

• Size – 1/8″ / 3.2mm indicates the diameter of the inner lumen size of the elastic without it being stretched.
• Force – It is given on ounces or grams. 4.5oz / 126g indicate the force delivered if the elastic is stretched 3 x its size.

INDICATION

• To reinforce anchorage in a case where an extraction has been done.
• To allow the maxillary incisors to move inwards.
• To correct midline deviation and allow buccal movement of backward-tipped lower incisors.
